The vehicle travels the streets of Quetzaltenango to donate meals to people who are in financial difficulties because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The idea comes from the Sacándole Brillo a Xela Association, which accepts food donations to prepare lunch boxes.
Tu Consejeria has a team specialized in mental health that offers several services, but during the pandemic, it made available the time from 8 pm to 10 pm for online and free care for people who need psychological help.
They also prepare information materials about Covid-19 in Kaqchiquel, a language spoken by some indigenous people in Central America. Some populations are uninformed about Covid-19 because most of the information is in Spanish, the country’s official language.
