In Liberia, previously unemployed residents help doctors as community health workers.
The country hires and trains people out of work so that they identify symptoms of Covid-19 among their neighbours. They also implement prevention and control measures, like organising social distancing and hand hygiene stations. The country is considering engaging community health workers to coordinate testing for coronavirus.
