In Papua New Guinea’s autonomous region of Bougainville, the Parliament has voted to extend a State of Emergency until August 14.
Movements will be restricted even though Papua New Guinea had not confirmed cases in the last month. The authorities are remaining cautious due to the high number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia, which shares a border with Papua New Guinea.
