In Thailand, a beauty clinic offers mini face masks for clients receiving up close cosmetic treatment during the pandemic.
The mini mask covers nose and mouth only so that clients can have their cheeks exposed for treatment. The clinic has around 100 masks that can be disinfected and reused.

  In Thailand, a new surveillance program will test 100,000 people for Covid-19 infection by the end of June.
The test will be performed nationwide and will focus on those who work in professions and public areas which are easy to expose to the virus, and those living in crowded communities. It will increase health authorities’ ability to gauge the pattern of the pandemic.

The testing phase on the monkeys came after trials on mice were successful. If the tests go well, human trials should start in October.

In Thailand, the government has developed a contact-tracing online platform, “Thai Chana” (meaning “Thailand Winds”).
Thai authorities have clarified it is not an app but a website  to contact anyone easily if they may have visited venues where the virus has been detected. On Jan. 8, Thailand became the first country outside of China to detect a Covid-19 case.
