In Germany, Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei creates 10,000 artistic masks to be sold for charity.

All it has earned will go to coronavirus humanitarian efforts led by Human Rights Watch, Refugees International and Medecins Sans Frontières.

In Japan, an app lets sports fans cheer out loud in the stadium when watching remotely.

The profiles are published on the “Inumeráveis” website that was launched in late April. The journalists’ goal is that the victims of Covid-19 are not seen as statistical numbers but as humans.
