In the Netherlands, the government has announced the scheme, known as “NOW”.

It includes temporary emergency salary subsidies to all employers whose revenues have fallen by 20 percent since the outbreak. It will pay their employees’ wages. Previously, an unemployment benefit for short-time working was cancelled. For small and medium businesses, a credit guarantee scheme was introduced.

The Audiovisual Emergency Fund “Sifonóforo” has the support of relevant people in Mexican cinema, for example, directors Guillermo del Toro, Alejandro González Iñárritu and Alfonso Cuarón, actress Salma Hayek and actor Gael García.
