In Zambia scientists are using new technology to track Covid-19.

Scientists from PATH are using on-site genetic sequencing with nanopore technology which can allow them to read complex strings of RNA or DNA without a complex laboratory setting to track Covid-19. Through this technology, they are able to track Covid-19 and mutations that may occur as the virus replicates. The nanopore sequencing can help scientists to see where Covid-19 cases originate and how they’re spreading in the country.
