Los Angeles brings thousands of homeless people into hotels.

This is to protect them from Covid-19. The federal government will pay for at least 15,000 hotel rooms during the pandemic in a state with a large homeless population. The rooms will be secured for the most vulnerable, which includes people over 65 years old or those with underlying health conditions and who are at high risk for hospitalisation.
