In the UK, Bromyard FM, a local community radio station, brings valuable information, entertainment and a sense of togetherness during the pandemic.
It began broadcasting online in late March, run by two DJs, Richie Palmer and Nikki Ivison. They deliver a combination of uplifting music and entertainment, along with public health information. They also interact with listeners during the live shows via the Bromyard FM Facebook group that currently has some 5,400 followers.

While Brazil is in Covid-19 free fall, people self-organise to protect themselves and offer help
Brazil has the world’s second-highest number of Covid-19 cases. In some cities, the dead are being buried in mass graves. Hospitals are on the brink of collapse. But some help is coming from a community map called Máscara para Todos for people to donate or sell masks, alcohol gel and gloves. In Honduras, rural women sew masks to prevent Covid-19.

In Kazakhstan, Market.kz, a popular online database of products and services, started a new section with mutual aid during the pandemic.
“We are united!” is the new section devoted to offers related to Covid-19 and quarantine, such as announcements of job opportunities, requests for free food, clothes, products for children and the elderly.
