The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has donated 10,800 bags of specialized nutritious food to feed Covid-19 patients in isolation centers. The food is manufactured in Ghana and is made of blended cereals and soy flour, mixed with extra minerals and vitamins to boost the immune system.
“Ollas” are organized by volunteers who prepare meals for vulnerable people. 85 organizations attended the special event and their members prepared 19,200 lunchboxes that were distributed in Hernanderias neighborhoods.
The initiative is part of the “Plan Internacional” project and it aims at residents of the cities of San Estanislao, Liberación, General Resquín, San Vicente, Unión, Guayaybí, Yrybucuá and Yataity del Norte, including indigenous communities.
