Malaysia has launched a fourth economic stimulus package valued at $8.2 billion (RM35 billion), aiming at checking unemployment.

In the UK, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has announced that it will launch an inquiry into “long-standing, structural race inequality in Britain”.
London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, welcomed news of the inquiry. He has previously called to launch an investigation into the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on BAME people. The pandemic has brought race inequality into sharp focus with people from BAME backgrounds found to be disproportionately affected by coronavirus.

In Bangladesh, the government announced an additional $235 million (Tk 20 billion) stimulus package on May 14.
The package aims to help migrant workers, unemployed youth and rural population, which made the total stimulus package past $11.77 billion.The amount is equivalent to 3.6 percent of the country’s GDP.

Singapore Institute of Technology will give out grants of up to $2000 to some students.

In South Korea, JYP Entertainment, with a roster that includes 2PM and TWICE, made a donation of 500 million won (€372,701) to the Community Chest of Korea.
The amount will be used to purchase equipment such as masks and anti-contamination suits. It will also be used to provide sanitation items to low-income families.
