In Chile, the Ministry of Education has created a working group to prevent school dropout during the pandemic.
The group brings together education specialists who must review the measures already implemented to prevent students from leaving school and adapt them to the context of the pandemic. Experts should also come up with ideas to identify the challenges o stfudents at risk.

In Costa Rica, donations are used to help students continue studying during quarantine.

In Jamaica, a campaign was created to donate tablets for children to study at home.
The project called EduTechAid was created by the Jamaican company GeoTechVision to raise money to buy the devices. Tablets are for children who don’t have a computer, but need the equipment to take classes. Schools were closed in Jamaica on March 13 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Hong Kong, school officials at 9 universities donated a portion of their salaries to aid students.
For the next 12 months, presidents and vice-presidents at the Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University and Open University of Hong Kong will give 10 percent of their salary.
