In Mexico, Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit started a communal kitchen.
The project is to prepare 400 lunch boxes daily which are distributed to residents of low-income neighborhoods in the Tepic city thanks to donations. Meales are delivered at lunchtime. The kitchen is disinfected and workers use personal protective equipment.

In Uruguay, a platform allows customers to pay for vouchers and use them in their favourite restaurants when the lockdown ends
Rodrigo Martinez, 29, a chief commercial officer of a software company EagerWorks explained to Outriders why they launched “Lo de siempre” (meaning “as usual” in Spanish). After 45 days of campaigning, restaurants in Uruguay have started to open and have finished the project. They have sold about 700 vouchers in total these days.

In Uganda, a smartphone app lets the vendors safely sell and deliver fruits and vegetables to customers under the lockdown.
It was developed by the Institute for Social Transformation, a Ugandan charity, and it helps avoid crowds in markets. People can sell goods while at home, which are delivered to customers with motorcycle taxis. UN Women supported the app, since it enables female vendors to increase sales and e-commerce.
