In the UK, Uber has launched Work Hub for drivers to find temporary work opportunities with other companies.
During the pandemic, Uber in the UK has partnered with companies that are currently offering work opportunities, such as Adecco, Hermes or Yodel, to show vacancies in other jobs. Uber drivers can visit the new section “Work Hub” in their Driver App.

In Detroit, the US, Tech Town, an incubator and accelerator of Detroit’s startups, launched a stabilization fund for small businesses with ten employees or less.
The fund includes grants up to $5,000 dollars to help local companies through this crisis. Initially, TechTown Detroit raised $250,000. Now, they are trying to help freelancers and home-based businesses.

In Estonia, the startup community launched a platform to help exchange workers.
It is called Share Force One and it will help in temporary workforce exchange during the pandemic. It is a tool for companies in need of workforce and vice versa. Share Force One matches the employer and the renter and will contact them. The idea was born in a hackathon…
