In the Philippines, the House of Representatives approved on second reading a measure proposing a $25.7 billion economic stimulus package on June 1.

The European Union unveiled a €750-billion unprecedented recovery plan.

In Montenegro, the government allowed deferment of tax payments during the pandemic.
The tax-relief due to the health crisis includes measures for the deferral of payments of individual income tax and social security contributions. In Japan, the Bank of Japan expanded monetary stimulus on April 27.

South Korean president Moon unveiled an increase in spending to deal with the pandemic to almost $200 billion.
The government on April 22 committed a further $70 billion in stimulus and support measures for the country’s worst-hit industries, small businesses and workers, adding to the $120 billion that previously announced.
