“Ollas” are organized by volunteers who prepare meals for vulnerable people. 85 organizations attended the special event and their members prepared 19,200 lunchboxes that were distributed in Hernanderias neighborhoods.
The initiative is part of the “Plan Internacional” project and it aims at residents of the cities of San Estanislao, Liberación, General Resquín, San Vicente, Unión, Guayaybí, Yrybucuá and Yataity del Norte, including indigenous communities.
Friends and families of the team are also volunteering for this cause. Local police officials and NGOs have joined hands with them. Meals are given to slum dwellers, daily wage and migrant workers, orphanages, old age homes and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike workers.
