In Mexico, Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit started a communal kitchen.

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, vendors at open-air markets had sales disrupted. Social media analyst Nacho Castro created the FeriasUY website for street vendors to offer products and publicize thire phone number. People can order directly from the vendor and receive food at home.

In Germany, the government allowed farmers to pay charter flights for migrant workers in April and May.
About 28,000 workers have been flown from Romania and Bulgaria to Germany in these months under this airlift program, according to The New York Times. The opposition Greens party has criticized the measure as “scandalous and irresponsible.”

Italy announced a 6-month permit for undocumented migrants working in agriculture and as carers.
The initiative aimed at filling the gap left by at least 200,000 seasonal workers due to travel restrictions during the pandemic. It is part of a €55 billion stimulus package approved on May 14.

A non-profit organisation African Masks distributes cloth masks in several countries across Africa.
This venture is supported by crowdfunding. Teams of volunteers distribute cloth masks to the most vulnerable and populated communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Senegal, Benin and Nigeria. In the first month, local tailors were able to sew 7,000 masks, which also brings jobs to those tailors.

In Italy, the government approved a decree that entails a six-month temporary stay permit intended to allow undocumented migrants to work with a regular contract.
If by the end of six months a migrant has a contract from their employer, they can apply to convert the temporary permit into a longer-term work permit. The amnesty was pushed by agriculture associations across Italy looking to fill the gap left by at least 200,000 seasonal labourers.

In Greenland, the government announced an emergency relief for mining companies.
The government will waive mineral exploration license obligations and expenditures through to the end of 2020. With zero exploration obligations its aim is to help companies to retain their projects despite the challenging situation during the pandemic.
